Emergency Ship Handling Simulator Course

This course meets the principles laid down in IMO Resolution A960 Section 5. The aim is to enable participants to develop their skills and understand the principles and practices of ship handling, with emphasis on emergency procedures and manoeuvres which includes: steering, engine and bow thruster failures. The course consists of concentrated periods of practical exercises in the simulator supported by a series of lectures, which can be tailored to suit individual student needs and may also include interaction and escort towage principles using simulator controlled tugs if required.
